Price of platinum reaches its maximum in 10 years

June 19, Fineko/abc.az. In connection with increased demand and limited supply, the price of platinum has reached a 10-year high.

ABC.AZ reports that spot prices rose more than by 2% up to $1,350.17 per ounce, which is the highest level since September 2014.

Since the beginning of the year, the price of platinum has increased by 45%. Due to the growing tensions in the Middle East, investors have increased their purchases of platinum along with other precious metals as a safe haven asset.

According to Goldman Sachs forecasts, prices will return to the range of $800-$1,150 per ounce in the near future.
