Azerbaijan's income from sale of apples grew by 45 %

June 19, Fineko/abc.az. Over the past 5 months, Azerbaijan exported 46,596 tons of apples for $32.344 million.

ABC.AZ informs with reference to the State Customs Committee that country’s apple exports increased by $10.93 million or 45.4% in value and by 13,229 tons in quantity, or 39.6%, versus Jan-May 2024.

And in 2024, Azerbaijan exported 33,367 tons of apples for $22.25 million.

During this period, the average export price of 1 kg of apples exported by Azerbaijan was 1.18 manats. For Jan-May 2024, this figure was 1.13 manats. This means an increase of 5 gapiks or 4.4% against Jan-May 2024.

This year, apples made up 0.29% of overall exports and nearly 2.30% of exports from the non-oil sector.
