Azerbaijan's trade turnover with Italy reaches $5.34 bn for 5 months

June 20, Fineko/abc.az. Over Jan-May 2025, Azerbaijan's largest trade turnover among the EU countries was consistently formed with Italy, Germany, Greece, the Czech Republic and Spain.

ABC.AZ informs, citing the State Customs Committee, that the value of Azerbaijan's trade turnover with Italy amounted to $5.338 billion, including the value of exports - $5.126 billion, and the value of imports - $212.593 million. For Jan-May 2025, trade with Italy grew by 21.1%, including exports by 21.2% and imports by 17.6%.

The value of trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Germany reached $680.441 million, including the value of exports - $292.645 million, and the value of imports - $387.795 million. The trade turnover with Germany increased by 7.6% for the past months, including exports decreased by 6% and imports increased by 20.8%.

The value of trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Greece reached $357.77 million, including the value of exports - $334.256 million, and the value of imports - $23.514 million. For Jan-May, trade with Greece grew by 8.3%, including exports increased by 9% and imports declined by 0.6%.

Over the past 5 months, trade turnover between Azerbaijan and the Czech Republic totaled $336.26 million, including the value of exports – $305.728 million, and the value of imports – $30.298 million. For Jan-May 2025, trade with the Czech Republic fell by 9.5%, including exports dropped by 12.5%, and imports grew by 37.2%.

In 5 months, the trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Spain amounted to $102.876 million, including the value of exports - $5.372 million, and the value of imports - $97.504 million. Over Jan-May, trade with Spain declined by 2.6%, including exports decreased by 9.2 times, and imports increased by 73.3%.
