June 20, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan have reached an agreement to increase the value of annual trade up to $1 billion by 2030.

ABC.AZ informs, quoting Azerbaijani Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov as saying this at the Azerbaijan-Uzbekistan Interregional Forum in Baku.

According to the minister, this goal can be achieved not only through trade, but also through increased mutual investments and industrial cooperation projects: "A number of steps are being taken in this direction."

Jabbarov noted that economic and trade relations between the two countries demonstrate constant positive dynamics: "In the first 5 months of this year, the value of trade turnover with Uzbekistan has more than tripled against the 2024 same term, exceeding $200 million."
