June 21, Fineko/abc.az. During the visit to South Korea, a range of bilateral meetings have been held with representatives of the country's leading institutions, including the Korea Trade & Investment Promotion Agency and the Korea International Trade Association.

ABC.AZ informs that Alat FEZ chairman of board Valeh Aleskerov made this statement during his visit to Seoul for presentation of the opportunities of Alat FEZ and preferences for investors.

He noted that negotiations were aimed at promoting the Alat FEZ capabilities and discussing the prospects for cooperation.

“These organizations have shown sincere interest to the industrial zones. As I always say, we are ready to consider any proposals, but we will give priority to investors who bring innovative technologies, meet international standards and strive for export-oriented production,” he said.

According to Aleskerov, at least 75% of the goods produced in the FEZ should be exported outside Azerbaijan: “This requirement is designed to ensure the competitiveness of the zone and avoid the emergence of small enterprises focused exclusively on the local market.”

Aleskerov added that the Korean industry, especially in such sectors as mechanical engineering, electronics, automotive and pharmaceuticals, meets the strategic goals of the Alat Zone.

"The Alat FEZ also provides industrial land plots with ready-made infrastructure and utilities, which allows projects to be implemented immediately and at minimal cost," he emphasized.
