September 5, Fineko/abc.az. The number of employment contracts in Azerbaijan’s non-oil private sector has exceeded one million, Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov announced on his X social media account, ABC.AZ reports.

He noted that since early 2019, the number of contracts in this sector has increased by nearly 470,000, or 87%.

This sector now accounts for approximately 55% of all employment contracts, Jabbarov stated.

According to the minister, alongside economic growth and job creation, key factors behind these achievements include tax reforms aimed at formalizing wages and increasing employment in the non-oil sector, supported by seven-year incentive programs.
