September 23, Fineko/abc.az. Industry 4.0 to be created in Azerbaijan will have a production line, people will learn from each other and share their experience in it.

ABC.AZ reports that Fariz Jafarov, the executive director of the Center for Analysis and Coordination of the IV Industrial Revolution (4SIM) under the Ministry of Economy, made the above-said statement on the 2nd day of the 1st Azerbaijan International Investment Forum (AIIF-2025) in Baku.

"We bring international knowledge and experience. To this end, we have signed agreements with other large companies. This center will operate according to the single window model for the industry," he said.

According to Jafarov, the center conducts diagnostics of the level of readiness of companies for the "smart industry".

"Due to the global skills gap, 85 million jobs will be empty worldwide by 2030, resulting in losses of approx. $8.5 trillion. Given all these challenges and opportunities, we believe that Industry 4.0 approach can open up great opportunities for Azerbaijani companies. We have launched this program to support them. Transformation means change. This requires new skills, a new institutional structure, and technology. We visited AzerGold CJSC, a number of companies operating in pipe production and other sectors. We are currently studying their condition and determining what they need to do in the future. Thus, the program diagnoses the level of companies' readiness for the "smart industry" in terms of business processes, technologies and the institutional side. Then we provide them with a digital development and digital support program, we give them a roadmap, and based on this map, companies begin to make changes," he said.
