September 24, Fineko/abc.az. The World Bank has awarded a grant to Azerbaijan for the restoration of the Absheron lakes and development of adjacent territories within the Livable Baku Project.

ABC.AZ informs that at the expense of those finances, the existing feasibility studies and technical projects of lakes Zykh, Khojasan and Boyukshor will be updated.

Part of the grant will be used for consulting services related to this work.

Thus, the consultant will review and update the existing feasibility studies for the restoration of the Absheron lakes. Considering that a lot of time has passed since the feasibility study and completion of the technical design documentation, it is necessary to update the feasibility study on the Boyukshor, Khojasan and Zykh lakes and adjacent territories. The work, which will cost $500,000, is to begin this November.
