The Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) has become a full member of the International Organization for the Protection of Financial Consumers (FinCoNet) as part of the expansion of opportunities for international cooperation and the application of best practices for consumer protection in financial markets.
ABC.AZ informs, referring to the CBA, that as part of its membership, the organization was granted the right to participate in the organization's working groups on responsible lending, consumer protection of digital financial services, monitoring market behavior and risk assessment.
In addition, this membership provides an opportunity to participate in the process of developing internationally recognized policy documents, as well as to have access to existing policy documents and a research database.
As a member of the CBA, FinCoNet will be able to study best practices in protecting financial consumers and regulating market behavior, familiarize itself with international experience and approaches, and contribute to shaping priorities by participating in setting the organization's agenda.
