October 7, Fineko/abc.az. Interest rate risk does not pose a threat to the stability of banks in Azerbaijan, ABC.AZ reports, quoting CBA Financial Stability Department’s director Atakhan Hasanov.

He pointed out that the share of assets for the period of up to one year is 51% of all bank assets, and the share of liabilities for a period of up to one year is 81%.

"The analysis shows that the mismatch between the maturities of assets and liabilities, that is, interest rate risk, has minimal impact on banks' capital and does not pose a threat to their sustainability," Hasanov said.
