October 7, Fineko/abc.az. Shahin Makhmudov, director general of the Central Bank, named the main cause of the decline in profits in the banking sector.

ABC.AZ informs that at a press conference on financial stability reporting, Makhmudov noted that the decline in profits is linked with increased caution.

He noted that the main issue that needs to be considered in the matter of the stability of the banking sector is the adequacy of capital.

"The adequacy of the banking sector's capital has increased and stands at about 18%," Makhmudov said.
