ABC.AZ informs that German Ambassador to Azerbaijan Ralf Horlemann, made this statement when delivering speech at the German-Azerbaijani Export & Financial Conference.

According to the diplomat, expansion of cooperation with Azerbaijan is conditioned by three factors.

"The first is the issue of peace. The peace process between Azerbaijan and Armenia continues today. Peace and stability are important for business development and for maintaining it in a sustainable form. The second factor is that there is new dynamic in relations between Azerbaijan and the EU. Mutual visits and the issues discussed indicate that relations will develop in an ascending line. The EU attaches special importance to the region and intends to further strengthen cooperation. The third factor is the visit of German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier to Azerbaijan in April of this year. Thanks to the agreements reached during the visit, companies operating in the German automotive industry will start producing eco-buses in Azerbaijan. Along with this, Germany is interested in cooperation with Azerbaijan in the field of energy," Horlemann said.

The ambassador noted that a joint working group has been established in the Ministries of Economy of Germany and Azerbaijan: "This working group will mutually study the economic potential, investment climate and make appropriate decisions."
