October 13, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijani Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov met with Senior Bureau Official for the Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs of the U.S. Department of State Brendan Hanrahan.

ABC.AZ informs that Azerbaijan and the U.S. exchanged views about strengthening institutional foundations, new cooperation mechanisms and investment initiatives.

At the meeting, the sidesexpressed satisfaction with dynamics of two countries’ economic ties and discussed work to be carried out to promote cooperation to a new level.

The sides stressed the importance of the Intergovernmental Memorandum of Understanding between Azerbaijan and the U.S. on the establishment of a strategic working group to prepare a Charter for Strategic Partnership. This initiative is of particular importance in terms of strengthening the institutional foundations of economic cooperation between the two countries.
