October 13, Fineko/abc.az. Currently, there are separate connections between the electric grid of Azerbaijan and the electric grids of Russia and Iran, allowing for exchange and trade of electric energy.

ABC.AZ informs that Deputy PM of Azerbaijan Shahin Mustafayev during his speech at a trilateral meeting between Azerbaijan, Russia and Iran in Baku on cooperation in the transport, energy and customs spheres.

Mustafayev added that the project of coordinating the electric networks of Azerbaijan, Russia and Iran in trilateral format is on agenda of cooperation in the field of energy.

At the trilateral meeting, it was emphasized that the measures in the transport sector require simultaneous improvement of the infrastructure of customs and border checkpoints. In this context, simplification and digitalization of customs operations are priority areas of cooperation. Mustafayev added that on October 14, the delegations of the three countries will conduct joint inspection of important infrastructure facilities of North-South transport corridor.
