October 13, Fineko/abc.az. Over Jan-Aug 2025, Azerbaijan imported 830,164 smartphones for $261.6 million from abroad (4% more versus the 2024 same term in value terms, and 8% less in quantity), ABC.AZ reports with reference to the State Statitics Committee.

During the reporting period, Azerbaijan imported 660,307 devices from China (-6%) for $197 million (6% more than 1 year ago), 159,171 devices for $58.8 million from Vietnam (a rise of 20% and 11%, respectively), and 10 from India. 109 devices for $ 5.7 million (a drop of 56% and 82%), 320 devices for $85,200 from Indonesia (an increase of 4 times), 230 devices for $27,600 from South Korea (a decrease of 76%, but a 2-fold increase in number).

In 2024, China accounted for 79.5% of the 1.5 million smartphones imported to Azerbaijan.
