October 14, Fineko/abc.az. The construction sector plays a major role in the economy of Azerbaijan and is an important sector in the development of the non-oil/gas sector.

ABC.AZ informs that President of the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers) Organizations Mammad Musayev stated about this at the Azerbaijan International Exhibition for the Restoration, Reconstruction and Development of Karabakh (Rebuild Karabakh – 2025).

According to Musayev, the Azerbaijani economy is showing steady growth: "For Jan-Sept 2025, the country produced GDP of 95 bn manats, or 1.3% more versus the 2024 ame term. The non-oil sector of the economy grew by 2.9%. This is a real result of joint activities of the state and the private sector. At that, the construction sector makes up 6.8% of the total value of GDP. More than 19,000 enterprises, or 8.7%, registered in the country, operate in the construction sector. The contribution of this sector to economic growth is observed due to increased investments in public infrastructure projects and construction work carried out in the private sector."
