October 15, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan is ready to provide comprehensive support to all interested parties to strengthen business cooperation between Belarus and Azerbaijan.

ABC.AZ informs that Tural Hajili, deputy executive director of the Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Agency (AZPROMO), said this at the Azerbaijan-Belarus Business Forum.

"As of September 1, 127 Belarusian companies operating in industry, trade, construction, transport, and services were registered in Azerbaijan, 85 of which were actively operating," he noted.

The AZPROMO representative noted that up to 80% of Azerbaijan's tractor fleet is Belarusian-made.

"Cooperation between the Ganja Automobile Plant and the Minsk Tractor Plant is successfully operating. Since 2007, over 14,000 Belarus tractors and about 3,000 trucks have been produced. In May, a contract was signed between the Ganja and Minsk Automobile Plants for the supply of sets of cargo and passenger vehicles. At the same time, joint production of spare parts is being established and a service center is being set up in the Eastern Zangezur and Karabakh economic zones to service Belarusian equipment."

According to Hajili, Azerbaijan will continue taking the necessary steps to increase investment attractiveness and expand cooperation with its Belarusian partners.
