October 28, Fineko/abc.az. U.S. President Donald Trump and Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi signed two agreements - on the "golden age" of U.S.-Japanese relations and on cooperation in the field of rare earth metals.

ABC.AZ informs that the deal is aimed at reducing dependence on China, which recently restricted exports of these resources.

The meeting took place in Tokyo as part of Trump's Asian tour, a week after Takaichi was appointed Japan's first female prime minister. Later, Trump will meet with Chinese President Xi Jinping to discuss trade issues.
