November 3, Fineko/abc.az. Meqa Sığorta OJSC lost market share in the first 3 quarters of 2025, and as payments increased, its loss ratio increased.

ABC.AZ informs, referring to the figures provided by the Central Bank of Azerbaijan, that 25.69 million manats were collected in the first 3 quarters of the year and 11.84 million manats in payments were made.

Thus, compared to the 27.35 million manat collection and 10.49 million manat payments for the 2024 same term, the collection this year decreased by 6%, and the volume of payments increased by 13%.

At the same time, as company's payments increased, the loss ratio grew from 37% up to 46%.

In addition, under conditions of growing market, the decline in Meqa Sığorta's performance further reduces its market share. In the first 9 months of last year, the market share in fees dropped from 2.7% to 2.2%.
