November 6, Fineko/abc.az. "According to the proposed changes to the Tax Code, benefits for electric vehicles and hybrid vehicles will apply to domestically produced vehicles, " ABC.AZ reports, quoting MP Vugar Bayramov.

He added that such domestically produced cars will be exempt from VAT: The production of electric and hybrid cars is planned in Azerbaijan. Starting from January 1, the benefits will apply to domestic production. It is proposed to introduce privileges for the import of spare parts of electric cars to Azerbaijan. Starting from next year, there will be benefits for import of spare parts for these types of cars into our country. The grace period for hybrid and electric vehicles expires on January 1, 2026. Since there is no provision for an extension of this period, no benefits will be applied when importing these cars in Azerbaijan."
