November 6, Fineko/abc.az. Motor road Goradiz–Jabrayil-Zangilan–Agbend will be toll-free after its commissioning, ABC.AZ reports, quoting  that Ziyaddin Hasanov, a spokesman of the State Agency of Highways of Azerbaijan.

He added that although a free alternative route is currently operating, it is planned to introduce a paid system on the new highway: "The toll system has not been launched yet, but the project stipulates that this road will be toll-free. This is the first highway in the region that will operate under a toll system and meet modern standards."

Hasanov stressed that toll road Goradiz–Jabrayil–Zangilan, corresponding to the 2nd technical category, has already been built and put into operation in parallel with the toll highway: "Drivers travel on an alternative road for free. The new toll highway is being built according to the 1st technical category and will provide a higher level of safety, comfort and speed of movement."

The total length of the Goradiz–Zangilan–Agbend highway is 123.6 km. Completion of the road construction is scheduled for the 2nd half of 2026.
