ExxonMobil signs gas exploration agreement on Greek shelf jointly with Energean and Helleniq Energy

November 7, Fineko/abc.az. ExxonMobil (U.S.) has signed an agreement with Energean and Helleniq Energy on the exploration of natural gas fields on the Greek shelf.

ABC.AZ reports that according to John Ardill, the head of global exploration at ExxonMobil, the first gas at Block 2 in western Greece is expected in the early 2030s if the project goes according to plan.

The project will require investments of between $50 and $100 million. ExxonMobil will receive a 60% stake and become the operator if the trial drilling is successful.
