November 14, Fineko/abc.az. The Moldovan government has announced a large-scale project to build three new transmission lines for interconnection with Romania and Ukraine.

ABC.AZ reports that Moldovan Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu made this statement following negotiations with his Romanian counterpart Ilie Bolozhan, which were broadcast on the Romanian government's website.

Munteanu said that by 2028 it is planned to introduce three new interstate gas lines, including Vulcanesti - Chisinau (almost 90% ready), Vulcanesti - Smyrdan and Comrat - Smyrdan for connection with Romania, as well as Vulcanesti - Artsiz for Ukraine. Moldova has become an active partner in the regional gas corridor and gained access to Neptune Deep field.

Romanian PM Ilie Bolozhan noted successful joint infrastructure projects: the Suceava-Balti line, electrification of the Iasi-Ungheni railway and construction of a new bridge across the Prut. The parties agreed on coordinated control at border crossings and simplified transit.
