November 14, Fineko/abc.az. Over Jan-Aug 2025, Azerbaijan bought 15,983 tons of lemons and limes (fresh or dried) for $15.54 million from abroad (2% more against Jan-Aug 2024 in value terms, and 3% less in quantity), ABC.AZ reports with reference to the State Statistics Committee.

Azerbaijan purchased 9,372 tons (-15%) of products from Turkey worth $7.1 million (14% less than a year earlier), 5,103 tons (-5%) worth $6.7 million (-1%) from South Africa, and 634 tons worth $855,000 from Argentina (no deliveries a year ago), 263 tons (+4.3-fold) of products from China worth $341,400 (+4.6-fold), 382 tons (+202 times) from Iran worth $286,000 (+196-fold).

74% out of 23,000 tons of Azerbaijan’s lemon and lime imports in 2024 accounted for Turkey.
