November 14, Fineko/abc.az. Over Jan-Aug 2025, Azerbaijan exported 5,163 tons of pomegranates for $4.4 million (32% more against the 2024 same term in value terms and 38% more in quantity), ABC.AZ informs with reference to the State Statistics Committee.
Azerbaijan sold 4,924 tons (+47%) of products for $4.2 million to Russia (39% more than a year earlier), 185 tons (+36%) of products for $144,000 (+76%) to Georgia, 51.8 tons (-70%) for $52 million (-69%) and Saudi Arabia - 0.1 tons (-69%) for $2,550 (-52%).
Azerbaijan imported 71.2 tons of pomegranates worth $146,000.
Our country bought 28 tons of products for $78,400 from Russia (no supplies a year ago), 10.7 tons (-28%) of products for $26,800 (-27%) from Peru, and 20.7 tons (+4-fold) for $24.8 million (+4.3-fold) from Turkey, from Iran - 10.7 tons (+19-fold) for $12,900 (+23-fold), from South Africa - 0.9 tons (-50%) for $2,200 (-49%).
This year, for the first time in the last 14 years (official statistics on foreign trade are publicly available for the period up to 2011), deliveries from Colombia (0.05 tons for $700) were made.
