Samsung Electronics increases prices by 60% for a number of chips

November 17, Fineko/abc.az. Samsung Electronics has increased prices for a number of chips by 60% in November due to high demand for these parts in connection with the creation of data centers for artificial intelligence, ABC.AZ informs, citins Reuters’s sources.

Toby Gonnerman, president of Fusion Worldwide, a semiconductor distribution company, said that Samsung's contract prices for 32 GB DDR5 memory modules have increased up to $239 this month from $149 in September.

These chips are used in servers, computers, and other devices to improve computing performance by temporarily storing data and controlling its rapid transfer and retrieval.
