China's largest gold deposit discovered

November 17, Fineko/abc.az. Chinese geologists have discovered the largest base gold deposit in the country with reserves of 1,440 tons of precious metal in Liaoning Province in the northeast of China, ABC.AZ reports, referring to the Ministry of Natural Resources of China.

Ministry’s page on WeChat social network says that concentration of gold in Dadonggou deposits averages 0.56 grams per ton. The ore body with length of more than 3,100 km is located at depth of 115 to 913 m, its average thickness reaches 263 m, and the maximum is 513 m.

The statement emphasizes that implementation of this project will increase China's strategic gold reserves and "is of great importance for the creation of a world-class gold mining base in Liaoning Province".
