November 17, Fineko/abc.az. China and Azerbaijan are partners on the path of development and revival.

ABC.AZ informs that Chinese Ambassador to Azerbaijan Lu Mei said this when delivering speech at the China Visitors Summit held in Baku for the first time.

The diplomat drew attention to the ancient history of relations between the two countries: "2,000 years ago, to the sound of camel caravan bells on the ancient Silk Road, China and Azerbaijan embarked on the path of intercivilizational exchange, starting the process of mutual trade and cultural enrichment."

According to the diplomat, after establishment of diplomatic relations in 1992, both countries have followed a dynamic and stable path of development, having achieved a sincere partnership based on mutual trust.

"Chinese-Azerbaijani relationships have been formed on the basis of reliable friendship and sincere partnership. This year has been particularly fruitful for our relations. In recent years, under the strategic leadership of Chinese President Xi Jinping and President Ilham Aliyev, bilateral relations have gained even higher momentum. Ilham Aliyev visited China twice this year, our leaders announced the creation of a comprehensive strategic partnership and reached important agreements to deepen cooperation," Mey stressed.
