November 17, Fineko/abc.az. China is now the world's largest market for traveling abroad, and Azerbaijan's share in this is growing every year, ABC.AZ reports, quoting Azerbaijan Tourism Bureau’s chairman of board Florian Zengstschmid.

He added that the visa-free regime introduced between the two countries had an important impact on the expansion of the tourist flow: "The visa-free regime between Azerbaijan and China has made a great contribution to increasing the tourist flow. This year, we are already seeing an increase of 50 percent compared to the same period of last year.

"Zengstschmid noted that 51 major Chinese tour operators visited Azerbaijan during the China Visitors Summit: "They not only get to know the capital and the tourism potential of our country closely, but also hold meetings with local tourist and by hotel companies."
