Global arms producers' earnings reach a record of $679 bn

December 1, Fineko/abc.az. The overall earnings of the world's largest arms manufacturers reached a record of $679 bn in 2024 (a rise of 5.9%), ABC.AZ informs, referring to the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI).

"This is the highest level ever recorded by SIPRI," the study says.

SIPRI notes that between 2015 and 2024, the revenue of the Top 100 defense companies increased by 26%.

30 out of 39 American companies in the ranking reported an increase in earnings, including Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman and General Dynamics. At the same time, SIPRI emphasizes that American firms are facing widespread delays, as well as budget failures, including within the program of fighter jet F-35.
