December 3, Fineko/abc.az. Serbia reported that it has sufficient reserves of diesel, gasoline and fuel oil at least until the end of January. This statement was made amid sanctions against the Oil Industry of Serbia (NIS) and the risk of shutting down the Pancevo refinery.
ABC.AZ informs that reserves include over 204,000 tons of diesel, an additional 25,000 tons from the army, as well as a reserve of 50,000 tons in Germany. The available volumes of gasoline and 54,500 tons of fuel oil are also considered sufficient.
Due to the lack of a response from the U.S. on the request for temporary lifting of sanctions, the Panchevsk refinery may be shut down in the coming days. The government is considering giving the Russian owners 50 days to sell a controlling stake in NIS, and if necessary, temporarily take the company under state control. The budget for such measures provides for €1.4 billion.
