December 9, Fineko/abc.az. In 2029, the share of the non-oil sector in Azerbaijan's GDP will exceed 80%, while in 2022 this figure was 52%, and in 2025 it reached 72%.

ABC.AZ informs that Prime Minister Ali Asadov made this statement at the Milli Majlis plenary session during the 3rd reading discussion of the budget package for next year.

According to the PM, in recent years, the Azerbaijani economy has entered a stage of technological modernization and digital transformation. Economic growth indicators have improved, infrastructure modernized, innovation and digitalization become key priorities.

"In the medium-term prospect, the non-oil sector will remain the driving force of our economy," Asadov said.
