December 9, Fineko/abc.az. Kyrgyzstan expressed interest in using the capabilities of Azerbaijani satellites for communications, emergency prevention, agricultural monitoring and environmental control.
ABC.AZ informs that a delegation led by Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture and Processing Industry of Kyrgyzstan Bakyt Torobayev visited Azercosmos during a visit to Azerbaijan.
Torobayev held talks with the Acting Chairman of the Board of Azercosmos, Dunai Bedirkhanov. The parties discussed the prospects of cooperation in the field of space technologies, satellite communications and digital solutions.
"The Kyrgyz side expressed interest in using the capabilities of Azerbaijani satellites for communications, emergency prevention, agricultural monitoring and environmental control. It was noted that access to modern satellite data will improve the efficiency of public administration and implement important socio-economic projects," the Cabinet said in a statement.
The Azerbaijani side presented the technical potential of its satellite systems, including the ability to transmit data, monitor the territory and provide integrated digital services.
Following the visit, the parties agreed to continue consultations and prepare specific projects for the introduction of satellite technologies in key areas for Kyrgyzstan.
