17:15 - 11.12.2025

December 11, Fineko/abc.az. From January 20, 2026, authors on Kindle Direct Publishing will be able to release their e-books without technical means of copyright protection (digital rights management - DRM) in EPUB and PDF formats.

ABC.AZ informs that the decision to use copyright protection is made by the author himself, including for already published works.

Amazon is positioning the innovation as a way to make it easier for readers to access purchased content, but book backups and sharing on Kindle devices are still limited by DRM.
