December 15, Fineko/abc.az. The total deficit of Azerbaijan's balance of payments for the first 9 months of 2025 amounted to $1.1 billion.

ABC.AZ informs that Samir Nasirov, the director of the CBA Statistics Department, stated about this at a briefing on the publication of the balance of payments.

According to Masirov, the balance of payments surplus for the first 9 months of 2025 totaled $181.6 million: "The average price of crude oil for Jan-Sept 2025 was $70 a barrel. For comparison, in the first 9 months of 2024, this indicator was formed at the level of $86 a barrel. And the price of natural gas grew by 12% up to $294 per 1,000 cu m," he added.
