December 15, Fineko/abc.az. Over Jan-Sept 2025, foreign direct investments from Switzerland to Azerbaijan amounted to $283.982 million ($236.331 million, or 6-fold more against Jan-Sept 2024), ABC.AZ informs with reference to the Central Bank.

The share of investments from Switzerland in overall foreign direct investments in Azerbaijan for the year under review was 6%.

Azerbaijan, in its turn, invested $28.822 million in the Swiss economy in the first 9 months of this year ($18.92 million or 39.6% less versus Jan-Sept 2024).

The share of Azerbaijani investments in Switzerland in the total volume of foreign direct investments made up 1.4%.

For Jan-Sept 2024, the total foreign direct investments from Switzerland to Azerbaijan reached $47.65 million, and investments from Azerbaijan to this country - $47.743 million.

In the first 9 months of 2025, foreign direct investments in the Azerbaijani economy exceeded $4.736 billion ($213.485 million, or 4.7% more against the 2024 same term).

At the same time, foreign direct investments from Azerbaijan into the external economy amounted to $2.039 billion ($658.09 million or 47.7% more versus Jan-Sept 2024).
