December 22, Fineko/abc.az. Lithuanian Defense Minister Robertas Kaunas has proposed the sending to Ukraine the funds received from the transit of Belarusian fertilizers.

ABC.AZ informs that according to Kaunas, under pressure, the authorities of the republic may lift the ban on the transportation of these products through Lithuanian territory.

"Why not allocate this 300 million euro to Ukraine as additional funds?" the minister said.

At the same time, he called such a scenario purely hypothetical. Currently, Lithuania has a ban on the transit of goods from Belarus.

Since July 1, the EU has imposed additional duties of 50% on agricultural products from Russia and Belarus under more than 145 codes, including dairy products, live plants, coffee, meat and vegetable oils.
