January 14, Fineko/abc.az. In December 2025, the consumer price index (CPI) was 105.2% compared to December 2024: food, alcohol and tobacco - 106.4%, non-food products - 102.5%, paid services - 105.7%.
ABC.AZ informs, referring to the State Statistics Committee, that CPI in December 2025 was 100.8 percent compared to the previous month, and for Jan-Dec it was 105.6 percent versus the 2024 same term.
The CPI for food, alcoholic beverages and tobacco products in December 2025 reached 101.4 percent compared to the previous month, and for Jan-Dec -106.8 percent versus the 2024 same term.
In December 2025, semolina and buckwheat groats, meat, fish, dairy products (milk, sour cream, katyk, cheese, cottage cheese), eggs, apples, pears, quinces, pomegranates, nuts, vegetables (cucumbers, tomatoes, zucchini, sweet peppers, potatoes), chocolate, ketchup, mayonnaise and vodka. Lemons, oranges, tangerines, bananas, kiwis, cabbage, beets, carrots and garlic declined in price. Other products have not changed significantly.
The price index for non-food products was 100.2% compared to November; clothing, household appliances and jewelry rose the most, while wood, cement, detergents and household soap fell in price.
The price index for paid services increased by 0.3% over the month; international air transportation and travel services mostly rose in price, while other services remained almost unchanged.
