January 16, Fineko/abc.az. Last year, condensate production at the Absheron field in Azerbaijan amounted to 600,000 tons.

ABC.AZ informs with reference to the Ministry of Energy that compared with 2024, condensate production at the Absheron field has not changed.

According to operational data, 27.7 million tons of oil (including gas condensate) were produced in Azerbaijan for January-December 2025.

The Absheron field is located in the Caspian Sea, around 100 km southeast of Baku and 25 km northeast of the Shah Deniz field.

Condensate and gas production has been underway since July 2023 as part of an early production project using a single deepwater well operated by JOCAP.
