January 16, Fineko/abc.az. The expansion of financial inclusion between Azerbaijan and international card organization Mastercard has been discussed.

ABC.AZ reports that Central Bank of Azerbaijan’s Governor Taleh Kazimov received a delegation led by John Huntsman, Deputy Chairman and President for Strategic Development at Mastercard.

During the meeting, the sides discussed the initiatives the country realizes to expand financial inclusion, strengthen digital financial infrastructure and improve the efficiency of payment systems.

Satisfaction with the current level of cooperation between the parties was also voiced at the meeting, and views were exchanged on spheres of strategic cooperation for 2026-29.
