Oil price is stable, Brent - $64.09 a barrel

January 19, Fineko/abc.az. Prices for oil of benchmark grades were stable in Monday's trading after last week’s growth.

The price of Brent crude oil futures for March at the ICE Futures exchange declined by $0.04 (0.06%) to $64.09 per barrel by 09:45. Following the trading on January 16, March’s Brent crude futures rose by $0.37 (0.58%) up to $64.13 per barrel.

The price of February’s WTI crude oil futures at the NYMEX commodity exchange fell by $0.02 (0.03%) to $59.42 per barrel by 09:45. Following the trading on January 16, WTI crude oil futures for February increased in price by $0.25 (0.42%), up to $59.44 per barrel.

Trading on Monday may be more passive than usual, as the U.S. stock exchanges are closed due to the holiday (Martin Luther King Day).

Last week, Brent rose by 1.25% and WTI by 0.54%.
