January 19, Fineko/abc.az. Last year, 243.2 million tons of cargo were transported by economic entities operating in the transport sector of Azerbaijan (4.4 million tons, or 1.8% more than in 2024), ABC.AZ informs with reference to the State Statistics Committee.

The carriers handled 2.215 passengers (by 127.1 million passengers, or 6.1% more year-on-year).

In 2025, the volume of goods transported by vehicles belonging to the non-governmental sector grew by 3.2%, and the share of this sector in overall volume of transported goods made up 80.4%.
