January 19, Fineko/abc.az. In 2025, 4,162,100 passengers were transported by air in Azerbaijan (117,400 passengers, or 2.9% more against 2024), ABC.AZ informs with reference to the State Statistics Committee.

In 2025, 99.9% of air transportation was carried out by state-owned enterprises and 0.1% by private enterprises.

Cargo carriages by this type of transport decreased by 6.6%, or by 27,600 tons, to 391,200 tons during the reported term.

In 2025, the volume of cargo transported by economic entities operating in the transport sector reached 243.2 million tons.

0.2% of the cargo was carried by air.
