January 21, Fineko/abc.az. In Azerbaijan, it is proposed that allowances to the pension capital of working pensioners be made every four years.
ABC.AZ reports that MP Vugar Bayramov made this proposal at today's meeting of the Committee on Labor and Social Policy.
According to Bayramov, the current legislation allows to include in the pension the capital accumulated by working pensioners, calculated every six years: "That is, a citizen's pension is recalculated based on the accumulated pension capital for the working period every six years. For working pensioners, additions are made twice - once every six years. This means that a citizen who retired at the age of 65 and continues to work will receive a second supplement to his pension at the age of 77. However, in most developed countries, the period of use of pension capital is set for a shorter period. Therefore, I propose to amend the Law on Labor Pensions so that working pensioners can use their pension capital three times - once every four years. Thus, working pensioners will be able to use their accumulated capital more effectively, which will lead to a greater increase in citizens' pensions. Given that the number of working pensioners is about 190,000, this change will please a significant number of citizens."
