Georgia’s electricity imports from Azerbaijan observed growth last year

January 22, Fineko/abc.az. In 2025, Georgia imported electricity from Azerbaijan for $25 million (2.3-fold more against 2024), ABC.AZ informs.

Thus, Azerbaijan took the 1st place among the countries exporting electricity to Georgia.

In 2025, Georgia bought electricity from foreign countries for $48 million (2.1-fold more than a year earlier).

Georgia imported electricity from Russia for $11.5 million, from Armenia for $8 million and from Turkey for $3.5 million for 2025.

In 2024, Georgia purchased electricity from abroad for $23.4 million, including for $11 million from Azerbaijan.
