January 23, Fineko/abc.az. Smartphone imports in Azerbaijan reached 1.198 million phones for $394.51 million for the first 11 months of 2025.

ABC.AZ reports that compared with Jan-Nov 2024, the number of imported smartphones declined by 7.29%, while in value terms their cost increased by 8.03%.

The majority of smartphones was imported in Azerbaijan from China and Vietnam for 11 months of 2025.  954,300 smartphones of Chinese origin made up 79.60% of overall imports and in value terms – $302.35 million (76.64% of overall imports).

Imports from Vietnam amounted to 230,500 phones (19.22% in volume and in value terms – $84.07 million or 21.31%).

India's share was significantly lower: 13,201 phones or 1.10% in volume, and in value terms – $7.86 million or 1.99%.

As for the average import price, for Jan-Nov 2025 it reached nearly $329 per smartphone (Jan-Nov 2024 - the price was $282). Thus, the average import price grew by 16.52% year-on-year.
