January 26, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan currently accounts for 124 Israeli companies actively carrying out various projects. Azerbaijani FM Jeyhun Bayramov made the above-said statement during a joint press conference in Baku with his Israeli counterpart, Gideon Sa'ar.

Bayramov emphasized that Azerbaijan is satisfied with the level of economic cooperation with Israel.

"The energy sector is one of the largest areas of cooperation, or rather, one of the first two. 2025 was a very significant year for our cooperation. That year, Azerbaijan's state oil company SOCAR acquired a 10 percent stake in Israel’s largest gas fields for the first time. This is of great importance for gas supply," he said.

Among the other most important and promising areas of cooperation with Israel, Bayramov named transport, agriculture, high technology, water resources and space. According to Bayramov, during the negotiations, the delegations held productive talks on the possibilities of developing cooperation.
