January 27, Fineko/abc.az. - (special news) - Prices for all construction materials are expected to rise, ABC.AZ reports, quoting Vugar Oruj, the chairman of the Azerbaijan Society of Appraisers.

When explaining the reasons for this, agency’s interlocutor also mentioned the purchasing power of the manat.

He believes that the factors that will require higher prices for building materials are rising prices in other directions: "We are talking about an increase in the price of construction materials imported from abroad. Thus, an increase in logistics costs, as well as an increase in prices directly abroad, will lead to an increase in the cost of products. I think the situation will be difficult. As a result of growing prices and a simultaneous increase in wages for the workforce, construction in one form or another may be limited," Oruj said.

He also put forward his own version of how the construction sector and the building materials market can be saved: "Attracting additional investors can save this area. For example, speech is about foreign investors. They mainly deal with the construction of residential complexes or the renovation of particular infrastructure , etc. Attracting investors in this area can save the construction sector."
