February 3, Fineko/abc.az. The volume of trade transactions between Azerbaijan and the Islamic Republic of Iran totaled $644.1 million in 2025 ($3 million, or 0.5%, less than in 2024), ABC.AZ informs with reference to the State Customs Committee.

Trade turnover with Iran made up 1.3% of Azerbaijan's overall trade turnover.

Last year, the export of products from Azerbaijan to Iran was recorded in the amount of $20 million ($6 million, or 42.9% more than in 2024).

In 2025, export operations from Iran to Azerbaijan were completed in the amount of $624.1 million ($9 million or 1.4% less than in 2024).

Azerbaijan conducted trade operations with foreign countries for $49.423 billion ($1.81 billion, or 3.8% more versus 2024), including exports for $25.043 billion and imports for $24.380 billion. Last year , exports decreased by $1.5 billion, or 5.7%, while imports increased by $3.322 billion, or 15.8%.

As a result, the foreign trade surplus reached $663 million ($4.833 billion, or 8.3-fold less year-on-year).
