February 4, Fineko/abc.az. - (special news) - For several days, footage of a worker using old methods when paving a road was discussed on social networks. So, many attributed this to the shortage of bitumen in Azerbaijan. The people condemning the situation in the video believe that it is unacceptable to have shortage of bitumen in Azerbaijan, which exports bitumen to other countries. But is there shortage of bitumen in Azerbaijan? We asked this question to the expert on oil issues, Ilham Shaban.

Commenting on the ABC.AZ’s question.However, the expert stated that this is linked with people's ignorance:

"Talking about shortage of bitumen in the country is absurd. People just don't know, they don't know. Bitumen has always been stored in special containers. Even in the richest times of Azerbaijan, bitumen was collected in containers and used. It is not poured on the side of the road or into cars - it is stored in special containers. That's the technology. It is opened and used directly on an asphalt road."
